UNI EN 13120 REGULATION

Since 2014, a new European regulation on safety standards (UNI EN 13120) has come into force. The new safety standards aim to avoid, as far as possible, the risk of strangulation by children and people with reduced mental abilities.

Each model operated by chain, signed by Casa Valentina, is provided with the right safety devices that allow to fix the chain to the wall or to the window frame, preventing the children from reaching it.

Furthermore, each chain is equipped with fixed safe tensioning devices that do not allow the formation of a dangerous loop, avoiding any risk of accident.

In addition to this, Casa Valetina has also imposed safety standards for installation: defining for each product a maximum lenght of the chain with a tensioning device.
Motorized systems eliminate the risk of strangulation since they remove the need for operating chains.

Casa Valentina reminds the respect of the basic safety standards in every occasion, including the importance of keeping crib beds and furniture far from the chains in order not to make vain the safety standards respected.
